Ferries and fast boats from the port of Marina Grande
The harbour of Capri is located on the northern bay of the island, facing the gulf of Naples, called Marina Grande (Large Seashore). It is divided into two sides: the commercial port on the west, where land ferries and fast boats by public transport companies, and the tourist port on the east, built in more recent times, where is the dock for private boats and the quay for luxury yachts.

Capri is linked through the sea to Naples and Sorrento all year long, while direct connections to Ischia and Amalfi coast are active only in summer. The all-year connections are of course more frequent during tourist season and fewer in winter, when they could also be stopped if weather conditions are bad.

Departures of ferries and fast boats begin early in the morning and end in the evening, later in summer and earlier in winter. So you should pay attention to the time of last departure, to avoid to stay overnight (if not planned) at the city of departure port for late arrival.
