Railway funicular (cable car) to Capri centre
The Funicular of Capri (cable car) links the port of Marina Grande to Capri centre, through a short run lasting only 3 minutes. Usually it leaves every 15 minutes, but in the pick hours of large tourist affluence it works continuously, being able to do a run every 5 minutes.

Ticket office is beside the entrance of the commercial port, on the right coming to Capri, while the funicular entrance is i n front of the port, under a large arch easily recognizable from far.

Ticket office has been set aside the main entrance to make people flow away easier and to avoid the making of long lines of people waiting who could hinder the traffic in front of the harbour. Ticket costs € 1.30 per person per way, but are available also daily tickets on smart cards.

The funicular route is highly panoramic: on the first part, before the exchange tunnel between wagons coming up and down, you can see the port from above and the surrounding hills. On the second part you can admire the panorama of the island with the bay of Naples on the background.
