Isle of Capri : Matermania  (page 3 of 3)
Piano delle Noci occupies the north side of Mount Tuoro, in front of Matermania. It is joined by Dentecale street, a branch of Matermania street. There you can enjoy a nice pinewood and some lookout terraces overlooking the Natural Arch, the Cove of Matermania and Malaparte House. From here starts a hill path that leads to the Pizzolungo.

Matermania

From Matermania you can also go directly to Tiberio (through Tamborio street) or to Tragara (through Cercola street) without passing by the centre of Capri. Near the beginning of Matermania Street, at the crossroads of La Croce, there is the small and nice Church of Saint Michael, which belongs to the 14th century. Its former name was Holy Cross outside City Walls, but it changed into Saint Michael when they closed another church with the same name that was nearby, on Mount San Michele, Cesina zone.
